It's concerning that we vote for the lesser of two evils, instead of two esteemed.
Considering that no one and certainly no candidate is perfect, I find it concerning that so many decide to equate those candidates that do not agree with them perfectly as some degree of evil. I find it even more concerning that so many cannot distinguish true evil from simple disagreement.

The term “lessor evil” is just a saying. It has nothing to do with discerning evil. When I say “least evil candidate”, it’s not like I’m claiming that both are literally Satan, that I’m choosing between the least demon-possessed one. It’s just a figure of speech.

It's pretty simple for me and that's a choice of the one that I best align with. Perfection is an impossibility.
At work, I often say 'perfection is the enemy of done.' It's also the enemy of best possible outcome given the options. All political outcomes have some undesirability, which "lessor evil" is a euphemism for.

We have a choice this election for exactly two outcomes. Neither are perfect. One is furthest from it. Don't pick that one. She a kommie.

Yep. True for me in every presidential election since 1988:

Every election, every voter has two candidates to choose from. Now you could make some silly, facile argument about collective blame, that “we” don’t pick better candidates to run. But that is not within the power of a single individual. It’s not my fault that so many other people nominate idiots, which then I must choose between the lessor idiot.
As is shown, it is our individual responsibility as voters to point out the obvious and commonly known.
    We, the voters thank you.

When I said lesser of two evils I was considering if I'd leave my, now deceased beautiful wife alone with one and if I'd feel our arsenal was being used to it's best result if the wheels fell off and those against our way of life finally got the balls to cross the water for the other.
Either is evil in my eyes.

100% not true. There are well over 300 million candidates to choose from. Please show me where the limits are to just two candidates to choose from. You can legally write in ANY candidate you wish and any candidate with serious support can get on the named ballot. Over 10,000 did a write in vote in 2016 in Indiana.

The imaginary two are after a multi-year elimination process of deadlines, filings and signatures. The people can choose who they want to choose. The facile argument is that they don’t have that right just because they do not exercise it.

It is hard to accept that the only reason in this country you must choose between the lessor candidates is because YOU failed to recruit, support, fund, get out the votes, and convince enough of your fellow Americans your way is the right way. So it is your fault.

Side point. The above is why TPTB are going after the first amendment so vociferously…

    .

To me these are people who want to go back to the republican party of the 1970s. Slowly drifting towards socialism like a ship with no rudder, blown by democrat winds. They will occasionally make noise about social issues, but the steady influx of their lesser share of the dc spoils keeps them content.

As long as the cash keeps coming they don't give a hoot about the rest of Americans.

you sound like an a******. The point stands whether it is 100 million or 300 million, it ain’t two.

A contribution on the discussion would be welcome…
This illustrates why I am so skeptical about some of your sources.

I remember Rush Limbaugh, after we finally won the House after decades, talking about how upsetting it was for the establishment GOP. He said they didn’t want to actually govern, just sit back and complain about the Dems.

Nothing New under the sun. Still the same. Trump's term was a witness to that. Easy to give lip service when you KNOW you can't implement. Then when the Supreme Court does it for you. A look of shock comes across the face followed by fear of the political fallout because the Court finally swung conservative. That was the biggest win for the Trump administration in my book.
