    I'm happy to take this down if it's already out there.
    What's your take on the toughest, most rugged, reliable, end of the world, semi-auto pistol out there? 1911 is not an option.

    Once you find a Glock made in 1919 that still functions flawlessly, I'll claim it is the toughest one out there. :D

    For now, I will keep firing my dad's 1911 of that age.

    I like CZ's for reliability. My CZ-82 went through the 'glock torture test' and performed better than a friend's glock that we did the same thing to.

    A good 1911 is too easy, hence the rule. No offense to glock people, they're ugly and reliable. I have both myself. I like my makarovs too, it's a tank, but i worry about the durability of the firing pin.
