Setting large industrial evaporation condensers on a black rubber roof this afternoon. We were set up to beat the heat early this morning but the crane broke down and it was 1:00 PM when the replacement arrived. It was a measured 115 on the roof. Drank a gallon of water on site and another when I got home. Too freaking old for this but the pay is good.
    More to set tomorrow.

I rode the trail tonight at 7:45pm. It was 100 when I left the house. When I got back a little after 9:00 is was 94. I rode my usual 11+ miles with no issues. It was muggy but there was a nice breeze so it wasn't unbearable.

So for the bratty kids from Ban Hammer that like to tease me that I am old. Am not. I rode the trail tonight and made it back to brag about it. Old people can't do that.

I didn't think yesterday was all that bad... but then again, yesterday was only my 2nd day back from Southern Afghanistan where the temps were routinely around 110 while I was there.

Bunch of Slack Jawed Nancy Boy Pansies around here....
I know right. My wife and I went to run some errands and she asked me why I parked so far away from the door. I said, "walking is good for us". She said, "its too hot to walk any distance, you can park closer". I said, "You only think it's hot, today is actually not that bad; a bit on the warm side, but not too bad".

    :D

When I rode the trail tonight a little after 7:00, it was only 82 but it was really muggy out. I sweat more tonight than I did when it was 100. I think we are in for a hot muggy summer.

Work at the steel mill. This morning, the cast floor finally got down to 105 degrees, but now the suns up. Cool time is over.
