Setting at the kitchen table and cleaning my firearms is good relaxing therapy for me, so cleaning is something I like to do.

:+1:, same here. I clean every single one of my guns each and every time I shoot them, regardless of round count. I'm a mechanic and I make my living with my (expensive) tools, so I take damn good care of them. I clean my guns with an even higher respect as they are also (expensive) tools as I depend upon them as a means of protection of my family and property. To each their own though, I own my fair share of reliable and durable guns that will function dirty as hell. I guess I don't really have to, but I do.

I don't think I've ever fired one of my guns without cleaning it afterward. I change oil in my vehicles every 3000 miles, too, and drive them 200,000 miles. It's all part of the same thing--care of, because of respect for, good machinery.

I suppose it is from the indoctrination of the military, but if a firearm has been out I clean it. The majority of the time I take a firearm hunting and do not fire it but I will clean it as thoroughly as if I had fired it. The same with carry. If it has been out it gets cleaned. I guess the Army did do me some good. LOL stay safe

I wish I had time to clean my guns after I go shoot. Maybe that's why I hate it now. I used to like it. Like VN Vet said, it's relaxing.
Now I rarely have time to go shoot.
