Went this morning. I enjoyed talking to a few guys and saw some neat stuff, but the minute I saw the .40 s&w Hi Point carbine for $650.00 I knew I wouldn't be buying anything. Ended up buying a knife and a few small things even though I told myself not to.
Picked up a nice old Remington 11-48 28 ga. Just got done cleaning her up. Also found some obsolete ammo for the Winchesters. The price of 22 LR was insane as usual.
I seen a SMOKING deal on a Glock today, it was a G19 RTF2 w/scales for $475, I am sure its still there, these bring $800-$900 on online gun auctions! The guy has no idea what he has, I was tempted to buy it to flip it.
I wish I would noticed that 11-48. My friend has one and we've been trying to get an idea what they are worth. I think his is .410. Shotguns are not really my thing but that is a very good looking shotgun.
Went to the Lafayette show today. Quite a few less tables than usual. I walked through in an hour looking for certain items. I couldn't find what I was looking for at a good enough price to buy.
Fun to walk around though. One guy offered to sell me a brand new S&W Shield out the door for $410 which wasn't bad.
Picked up a Sig P220 mag, box of DRT .45's and a coon pelt, all for what I consider deals. Most were mighty proud of their shootin irons and .22lr still but I passed some deals. The $850 standard grade Model 11 and the $600 nickle smith .38, no model number, took the cake on prices I seen though.
As others have said, prices were way up there. One vendor did have DPMS Oracle AR-15s for $579.00. Had a good time talking to the guys from Elwood Conservation Club.
Stopped by to see about getting a table there next time, and ended up wondering around like always. I enjoyed it, prices were good some some 10/22's and some AR15's. Some good deals on a few handguns.
