Again that was the revised version. He was talking about those people being an ARMED SECURITY FORCE. This is just the precursor. He probably changed his thinking so this would seem like the only thing he wanted. I will continue to search tonight but I won't have much time because I have a new toy to drool over and proving you wrong isn't a top priority to me right now!

If he doesn't try to induce another AWB, a Civilian Security Corps (As laid out in his plans, both print AND speech), and/or spend trillions in the name of "saving the economy", then you may tell me I told you so. Until then, we may both bask in our greatness knowing we are right and the other is wrong.

No one can predict the future, yay or nay, but when someone says they want to do, and will do something with the conviction that he has and the Congress to back him up, I believe he will try, if nothing else.

Oh and watch out for his Executive Orders. Those are more potent than anything else he can do minus declaring Martial Law.

The bailout was not his idea alone. I'm not even sure he was in on getting that fiasco rolling. He didn't authorize it. Bush did. Who knows what its going to take to get the economy back on track after so many years of Republican abuses.

I see the situation a bit differently than both you, Finity, and Savage Eagle do.

I see Obama in the videos presented taking a "moderate road" in what he is saying so that no matter whether he leans left or right when his policies actually get implemented he can refer back to his words and justify his actions when he gets "whatever" policies in place. IMO, what I heard him say about the civilian security force is that he wants them equally as prepared as our military is. Does he say that he is going to arm them and making them roving patrols? No. Did he say that the force was going to be as equally powerful as the military in a political way? No. It is left open to the interpretation of the viewer until he actually makes a move to the left or right, if he even gets a civilian security force put together. Remember, there are a lot of Senators and Representatives with home states that receive a lot of military spending monies for many, many government contracts. I think those Congressmen are going to put up a large fight if Obama is true to his word and scales back weapons development and military spending as Obama's own words lead me to believe.

In regard to the 2A references on Obama's website, I don't hold much water for him not to try to take this issue head-on because of his on-again-off-again approach during the election when one day that section would appear on his website and the next day I would check and it would be gone. It would stay gone for a couple days and then it would appear again. Emails to his website prompted no answers from them as to why it was coming and go such as it was.
