I read through that article, and saw the part about the gun flying out of the lock box during the crash. I'd been reading the article to my wife, when I paused and said that I'd be surprised if something came of that.

Sure as ****, there it is in the end that the NJSP arrested the guy on a bogus gun charge, that he'd been put on probation and that the judge in that case didn't open his fracking eyes and see that the case should have been tossed. Then again, it's (read in the voice of Fred Armisan as Fmr. NY Governor Patterson) New Jerseeey.
