People just ain't got no respect for the law today. I believe that would change if we brought back fair and speedy trials and public hangings.

If they prosecuted criminals for their illegal gun possession then these criminals would be in prison instead of on the streets. The net effect would be an even steeper decline in gun-related violence than we're now seeing (check the stats!) and the anti-gun crowd would have even LESS clout in their calls to disarm lawful citizens.

I think the PREFER that criminals continue to endanger all of us and especially our police officers because that helps them to advance their agenda. If a few bystanders or police officers get killed is a small price to pay for the ridding our nation of the scourge of firearms in civilian hands. No, I don't agree but this is the mindset of Obama, Biden, Hillary, and others on the liberal/progressive/socialist side of things. You do NOT, however, see any of them giving up their armed security details do you? Nor will you. They are the elites and everyone else is "little people" in their view.

This little turd has MULTIPLE CONVICTIONS for felony-level "posession of a handgun by a serious violent felon" which ALL resulted in no jail sentence and only probation and community corrections.

This right here is why there is so much gun crime, nobody is afraid of getting caught with an illegal gun. All these pieces of **** carry with willful abandon because it has been proven time and time again that the court does not have the balls to get tough on gun crime. A mandatory minimum of 10 years should be imposed for any convictions of felony-level gun crimes. Make these criminals terrified of the consequences and they'll stop doing it.

Here's my opinion: It's easier and cheaper to house a bunch of non-violent offenders for twenty years who were sent up the river for having a spliff in the their car than it is to house a violent offender for the same twenty years. So the violent offenders get a slap on the wrist while the high-on gets a penalty fit for a repeat violent offender.

Holy cow! That's some fine lawyering.

It goes to show that if you catch heavy stuff, catch it in Marion County and not . . . say Warren County.

Cannot believe those deals. Those are fantastic!

Weeellll, dopers don't go to prison, unless you are on parole or probation for something heavy. Especially now that Obama's DoJ has stopped the drug war grants.

Think of it this way, Art: on heavy stuff there is more of a margin so you can get higher discounts for your guys.

Are you really saying all this outside of Purple.....really. Do you think like so many others out there that LEO just shot him because.
There was "No" ignorance here at all.

What are you advocating, holding hands and singing songs..........Just curious.
Yes i really am saying this outside of purple because if you go by the story the guy is never reported to have a gun in his hand only that he had 1 in his pants, and that another was found on the floor board. Nowhere does it say he had it in his hand. Am i missing something please enlighten me. I never said he didn’t deserve it, i said that the way the story was written was one sided and leaves a lot of the details out. And I’m not advocating anything. I’m just asking questions. Oh wait is that against the law, so sorry LEO’s never do anything wrong.

Yes, because the media never deliberately leaves out crucial details or is so incompetent that they neglect to report a story properly.

I think we all need to back a BBI campaign for an office in which he can make some changes!

    Of course it is not.

You just came off a bit strong just because it was not in print. Many aspects of crime scenes and investigations are omitted per request or just plain over looked/left out by our trusted (Purple) media to stir up ratings.

Track record on this guy was not good. Not a reason on it's own to shoot him.

I have a great idea.....lets lock them up for the duration allowed by law on the 1st serious felony. And every one after that as well. Might keep these incidents to a minimum.

But locking up the actual perps, thus preventing them from killing people, would interfere with the agenda to deprive the law-abiding of inanimate objects that the anti-defense people do not like.

I couldn't agree more and also think that less rights and comforts would maybe deter them from coming back. Our prison system is way to relaxed, and stiffer penalties for sexual and violent criminals. Society is to soft, we as a people need to quit coddling and send some harsh examples and maybe the younger generation would rethink their actions.

Completely agree. We are living in a society of no consequences.
