Awhile back, I got an oppurtunity to see something you just dont see. I seen a load of @ 41000 lbs. of militay brass headed for a recycler. Most was 5.56 LC brass. What a shame to be recycled, instead of reloaded. Thats alotta brass. Anybody else see oddities like this?

My understanding is the military brass is now being destroyed going forward. Not sure if that is true but I have heard it a time or two and know of others who have seen it being destroyed.

Is there a way to buy any brass from the military as "scrap" metal? A guy on here bought a truck from the military on an auction site. I seem to have misplaced the website..........

That sucks.... That's why the price is still so high. I remember paying 2.99/box of 20 for my local Anderson store.

i have heard and read about all military brass being sold for scrap and not letting some of the bigger reloading companies getting any of it and forcing layoffs and eventually going out of business...so much for more jobs for being created....

    that is disgusting.

Is this what we've come to as a country, the Gov't not wanting to let us reload our own?
