    good to know. I've always stuck with the 12 because I'm compensating for something

    I'm not. I actually like shooting the 20GA better for the reduced recoil in it. With all the new recoil reducers and such, I don't have issues like I did before. I still go home with bruising, just not as bad!

    The BAR had me drooling. I've shot a G3, but never had the chance to shoot a BAR, or Thompson.

    Took the BAR to a shoot down south a few years back. A younger fellow, vet with some experience shooting experience, shot it from the kneeling position and was surprised at how smooth and accurate it was with short bursts. Another friend of mine, with no infantry experience, shot it down on the KD ranges at Atterbury at a 55 gallon drum 300 yards away. Kept almost the whole mag on it.

    I begged and begged for a 12 gauge for Christmas when I was 12, it was the first "big gun" I ever shot so I had nothing to compare it too which I think was probably for the best
