After over a year of no over-arching military command hierarchy, you think military readiness and discipline would stay at peak performance levels? And they fired shots. A lot of shots. They also had the benefit of fore-knowledge. They knew where the military guys were. The military guys didn't know they were gonna get ambushed and executed that day.

I'd still like to find out what happened to the father son team in season 1. Something tells me the governor had his wife and kid stashed somewhere.

Yes that was the saved pilots head in the top tank. They just wanted the weapons.
You will find out later, they make a reappearance in the comics anyways.

Also, the person watching may be a separate story arc
    Hunters maybe

Keep watching. The comics are completely different than the TV series.

Not all American assault rifles have iron sights.

The heads in tanks Futurama style was not the surprise ending I was expecting.
The governor made a statement in the comics with this scene, and there were a LOT more heads. He said "All these channels and nothing on"

Kirkman has a sense of humor, I wonder if it bugs him about the mispronunciation of Michone's name (Me-shawn)

What's with the Futurama tie in??
Do you think Fry will make an appearance?

    Or the Professor Farnsworth?
That would be Good News Everyone!

I thought the forum had spoilers...whoops. :) Not too big if you haven't read the comics.

I am also wondering who is going to fill that role, who is going to fill tyreese's shoes, and who is going be over for dinner.

Also, is the really really horrible stuff going to happen?

Cool, I was curious if we would see those two at a later date.

I like the way they setup the Gov.'s town int he story. It is like a communist community, should work well in theory for a small community that has an overwhelming single goal of trying to establish a foothold on civility. Work as a team, efficient use of everyone,... but you have to have faith that your leader isn't a lying psychopath with different motives than what he describes. ;)

It seems like there might be some kind of cannibalism going on in the Govs mansion to me...idk or drugs in the tea...definitely an intriguing episode. I look forward to Rick/Darryl vs Gov/Merle showdown coming soon. I dont read the comics so its just speculation. It also seems that they will be leaving the prison soon due to a herd breaching or something similar.

Not so much communist. Wouldn't a lot of pioneer towns on the American frontier have been organized along similar lines? Or a kibbutz, for that matter.

    My mind is definitely blown.

(I have Dish so I had to catch up via DVR and watched all three episodes back to back so I was really in the WD zone....)

...But after seeing the Governor taking care of and being civil about everything midway through the episode, I was quite intrigued and sort of excited
in my mind to see light at the end of the tunnel (for the characters, anyway)... but I guess it should have been no surprise that it wasn't as great as it made out to be.

74 sheeple it is! Can't wait for Sunday. :rockwoot:
