Some of them. With good reason. A minority of those are just about power. Some are to protect society against behaviours. The groups they apply to have proven unable or unwilling to to comport themselves in an acceptable fashion.
Kind of a shame.

I don't know about the signs, but London is the most government-camera dense city in the world. And no, they don't prevent crime.

Because I don't think they should for any.... besides the welfare programs, which shouldn't exist in the first place. It's not the govt's job to administer any of the rest of the things listed.
