I don't really agree with all of that.

    1. Israel doesn't deserve unconditional support. On occasion their enemies are in the right. I'd say, Israel when right. Not Israel right or wrong.
    2. Some Muslims ARE Americans.
    3. Agreed. However no need to get bent out of shape because it says "Democracy". Democratic Republic, our Constitutional Republic is a form of democracy. It's not a pure democracy. It's okay to call it a democracy, but if you want to be more specific...
    4. Yep
    5. Yep
    6. It's not just Democrats. In fact, it's mostly populists who even care a lot about this one. Pretty much all your chamber-o-commerce type Republicans are globalists.
    7. Again, it's not just Democrats. And it's not even all Democrats. Politicians who support Wall Street over Main Street are pretty much across the board.
    8. True.
    9. It's not as if there are no atheist non-Democrats. And I think this item probably identifies the crux of what's wrong with the list. It's going to be a hit with only a fairly narrow subset of Republicans. Everyone else be like, "meh."

Can you elaborate a little more on this please? :)

    https://legaldictionary.net/constitutional-republic/
[h=2]What is a Constitutional Republic[/h]A constitutional republic is a form of government in which the head of the state, as well as other officials, are elected by the country’s citizens to represent them. Those representatives must then follow the rules of that country’s constitution in governing their people.

Republic - we don't vote for each law. We vote for "representatives" to represent us.
Constitution - even upon a majority vote, a minorities rights are protected.

I don't really agree with all of that.
    Me either.

    1. Israel doesn't deserve unconditional support. On occasion their enemies are in the right. I'd say, Israel when right. Not Israel right or wrong.
...but the meme is correct nonetheless.

    2. Some Muslims ARE Americans.
Yeah, I'm not on board with that one at all. My experience tells me that being Muslim does not mean being anti-American. I would ask those who think otherwise whether they actually know and have spent any substantial time with people of the Muslim faith. If you do, chances are it will change your attitude.

    3. Agreed. However no need to get bent out of shape because it says "Democracy". Democratic Republic, our Constitutional Republic is a form of democracy. It's not a pure democracy. It's okay to call it a democracy, but if you want to be more specific...
Socialism and Democracy (or a constitutional republic) are not opposite and not antithetical. People can and do freely choose it. It's just a horrible idea

    I'll give 'em that one.

    Agreed

    6. It's not just Democrats. In fact, it's mostly populists who even care a lot about this one. Pretty much all your chamber-o-commerce type Republicans are globalists.
Populists? Don't know about that, but there's nothing wrong with being a nationalist and while putting one's own countries interests first, wanting to be a good neighbor....but globalism- great for crappy countries, not so great for successful ones.

    7. Again, it's not just Democrats. And it's not even all Democrats. Politicians who support Wall Street over Main Street are pretty much across the board.
I'm not sure I even know what this one means.

    Clearly.

    9. It's not as if there are no atheist non-Democrats. And I think this item probably identifies the crux of what's wrong with the list. It's going to be a hit with only a fairly narrow subset of Republicans. Everyone else be like, "meh."
I'd prefer to keep the political discussions separate from religious ones and paint with this broad brush. We can share values without sharing an ultimate belief system. Conservatism does not require a belief in God.

Yup. She isn't a NY assembly member any more either. I just found the quote amazing and hard to believe.
