Well, the 101 counties outside of Cook County are no longer relevant. The Chicago Democrats now have gained several hundred thousand (non citizen) Illegal Alien voters. Republicans, Independents, and Conservatives no longer have representation in Illinois. The Democrat death spiral of Illinois (and America) is accelerating.

    Liberalism is a cancer.

When you see this it makes you wonder what other city machines are doing. Everybody expects stuff like this in chicago, it's like an obnoxious drunk relative you've been around for years, they don't care anymore. Other city machines would need to keep this quiet, enjoying the political power, but staying out of the limelight.

I think we'll get chastized for non-picture posts, but...

    Devil's advocate:
    A) This is a card that functions as an ID, it so happens that most of the people who get it are illegals, not everyone.
    B) The voter laws in IL require an ID. It so happens that this city ID card meets there requirements. Would a Canadian passport meet the requirements? (can you be a dual citizen? :dunno:)
    C) You still have to be registered, right? You can't just walk in, flash a card anonymously and vote.
    D) Get caught voting illegally, get deported. There's a serious penalty, so why do it? Heck, we can't get Americans to go the polls voluntarily.

Worried about voting illegally in a sanctuary city? Interesting theory.

I think this would make a great case for throwing out Chicago's count for federal elections. This is CLEARLY not constitutional.

Actually, there's nothing I see in the US Constitution that prohibits a state from letting illegal aliens ("alien" is a term in federal law) vote.
It only says who can't be prohibited from voting.

    Seems pretty crazy!

    :orly:

Amendment 15 - Race No Bar to Vote. Ratified 2/3/1870.
    1. The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the
United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of
    servitude.
    2. The Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

    Amendment 19 - Women's Suffrage. Ratified 8/18/1920.
The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the
United States or by any State on account of sex.
Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

Amendment 24 - Poll Tax Barred. Ratified 1/23/1964.
    1. The right of citizens of the United States to vote in any primary or other election for
President or Vice President, for electors for President or Vice President, or for Senator or
Representative in Congress, shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or any
State by reason of failure to pay any poll tax or other tax.
    2. The Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

Amendment 26 - Voting Age Set to 18 Years. Ratified 7/1/1971.
    1. The right of citizens of the United States, who are eighteen years of age or older, to
vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of
    age.
    2. The Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

Every other instance of the word in the Constitution refers to votes within the government by elected officials who according to it must be at least naturalized citizens.

I think that we can conclude that it is the right of Citizens to vote.

No person shall be a Senator who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty Years, and
been nine Years a Citizen of the United States, and who shall not, when elected, be an
Inhabitant of that State for which he shall be chosen.

No Person shall be a Representative who shall not have attained to the Age of twenty five
Years, and been seven Years a Citizen of the United States, and who shall not, when
elected, be an Inhabitant of that State in which he shall be chosen.

In the case of Electors I can not find a requirement that they be citizens, It would be (in my opinion) unlikely that the states would allow non citizens to elect the President.

    Well then, there is Comifornia.
