The Road - Who has seen it? Opinions?

I watched it a few months ago. A buddy of mine gave me a copy. He said its slow at first but picks up in the middle? I am still waiting for it to pick up. Over all I thought it was a decent movie. However if my son ever offered a complete stranger any of our food in an end of the world situation I wouldnt have to teach him how to commit suicide. I would pull the trigger for him.

This is an incredibly good movie!

I highly recommend it, but it needs to be watched several times.

I don't particularly like McCarthy. I did read the book. Certainly, one of the most dark & depressing books that I've ever read. I have no interest in seeing the movie now - I don't see how it can make you feel like the book.
