    Thank you for sharing. There was a similar scene in the documentary "Carrier" that was really moving. There were a lot of young adults on that ship with various troubles of their own that grew up a lot on the cruise, and think seeing the Arizona was a big part in that maturing.


    For those that have never been to see the Arizona memorial...its one of the most somber and moving experiences you'll ever experience. Smelling the oil in the air as it continues to slowly leak out of the hull almost transports you back in time to the hours and days after the attack, when the air was likely thick with similar smells.

    All the flags pictures are taken in Normandy btw, we probably have more US flag flying than some US states or territories. :):

    On our beaches, cemeteries, war memorial, musems, displayed by private individuals in their yards or on their vehicles etc ...I
