My dad had one too. Been looking for a good one reasonably priced for quite a while. A very good friend hooked me up.
I got half of Dad's guns, my brother the other half. He had sold off all them before he died. I think I have all of them replaced now, except one (one of the Colt .380s). I would have rather had the real ones of course, but you do what you can.

Can't agree with you more, can only do what you can do. I had a real Colt Government 380 about ten years ago. I'm not a Colt guy persay but I'd like to have it back.

As I am getting older, now I just hope that one of the grandkids turns out to be a real gun guy. Too early to tell now, they are 10, 8, 6 and 2. The 8 year old shows good signs.

Ive got 4 gkids, 1 gdaughter and 3 gsons. Theyre all pretty young like yours but i have the same hopes you do. The gdaughter is showing some promise along with the 8yr old gson. The other 2 gsons are 5 and under 1 so they have a ways to go.

Found a 6 pounder. 8 steaks and two filet burgers with the ground trimmings.
Still cheaper than going out so what the heck. 2 going on the grill later.
I was going to get one, but my Kroger was out. In fact the entire meat counter was empty. Some kid was stocking the coolers and I asked him about them and he kind of looked around, picked up various packages of meat and looked at them with a blank look on his face. It was pretty apparent he didn't know what he was doing. I may check another Kroger tomorrow.
