I figured out how to delete the messages in the "trash" but can't figure out how to move any out of the inbox into the trash so I guess I will remain over my limit until something changes.

How? I still haven't figured it out yet..

Click on the envelope next to your name.
Click on Show All
Click on Trash on the left side of your screen
Click on "Selected" - upper right side of screen
Click on Select all where it pops up at the bottom and then click on action and choose delete conversations.

That worked on emptying my trash.

I didn't want to just delete everything in my inbox but was hoping I could move those to the trash so I am back under the 500 limit that I appear to now be over, but can't figure out how to do that.

I haven’t had it happen yet. I was on last night and still logged in when I woke up today

Not for me on PC yet. Logged in about 4am and have come and gone for an hour or so here and there in that time.
