It really should NOT be this hard to rent a tow dolly!!! I don't think there is enough coffee in this house to get me through today.

Good grief! I just want a tow dolly and I keep getting told that a 3/4 ton truck is not heavy enough to pull the tow dolly with the Jimmy on it. Apparently, that weighs more than 100 80# bales of alfalfa hay plus the farm wagon????

Hubby got a doctor's appointment for Monday morning.

At least I got one thing done this morning!

Anyone who has one!! LOL! Uhaul has ridiculous rules. The trouble is we plan to do it tomorrow since the weather sucks today and finding someone open tomorrow is not easy. I did fine a Uhaul in Bronwsburg where we could pick one up and then just return it up here....if they have one. Waiting on hubby to get back to see if he wants me to reserve one.

I called one Penske place up here and there rules are no better. I don't even know who to call at this point. Making me nuts!

mom, I used to work at uhaul...and trust me...if you want to reserve one, call the particular store you want to rent from, the national number/website reservation program is a joke.

You may try Grand Rental station, I don't know how many locations they have, but I've rented from them before. I rented a dolly and towed a C-20 Chevy with my old C1500 (Grand RentaL). I also used a rented dolly to tow a Ranger with the same truck(uhaul).

Rules are in place because general population is idiots. If sense were common more folks would have it.

I hauled a uhaul car trailer with a ford Taurus on it with a 1/2 ton truck, I couldn't even tell it was there!
