Hi CT and everyone. How's the day going?

Two floors vacuumed...now doing the basement. Washing rugs and blankets and cleaning bathrooms. Bread is rising. Hubby went to some friends' to take out some stumps...tree cutting day. I guess I'll head that way when I get done.

Just put the bacon on the beans! A killer batch!

I made beef stew yesterday and there's enough left for today. Ham and bean soup sounds good. I could put it in the crockpot tomorrow morning.

I don't know where I got this stupid cold from but at least its finally starting to let up a bit. I actually slept last night. On a side note, I can't believe I didn't notice until just now that the name of this thread said "elephant" instead of "element".

You are making me hungry! We are having spaghetti tonight but I think I will thaw out a brisket for tomorrow. That sounds so good and we haven't had it for a while. I am going to have to order some beef soon...not much left in the freezer!

I had to trade in a failing cable box yesterday. The box I turned in was the size of a large VCR. The one that replaced it is about the size of 4 or 5 CD cases stacked up.
