me too and black and white tv. myself or my brothers were the remote control and there was only 1 tv in the house.

We had one TV until my brother and I were I high school and got them as gifts. We had remotes and color screens, but that was it. And a good old VHS player/recorder.

with a really long stretchy cord. Was right by the stairs to the basement and I would stretch it all the way down there so I could have privacy. When we first moved to Plymouth, we even had a party line.
