Man, I hate that. I don't mind pulling a double if I know it ahead of time. I really hate planning to get off and then finding out some (insert your favorite insult for an inconsiderate co-worker here) decided they just can't make it in.

furnace mystery is solved.
Dad knows it isn't working right. If some sensor doesn't cool off enough in between shutdowns, it will not turn the furnace back on. He knows it is an issue but told me how to work around it if I am here again before he fixes it.
Since he showers here only for the most part, I don't see him fixing it soon
