I need a new watch too but I don't think I could handle wearing something that big. I can't see at that distance very well without my glasses so my problem is finding one that I can read. If I have to put my glasses on every time I probably wouldn't use it much. There are plenty of watches made that allow me to see the time ok but the date is a different story and I really like that feature.
Maybe move your wrist closer to your face?

You get my age, one takes them when he sees a chance. Good afternoon Caleb.

    Good afternoon....ready for more snow?

I believe it has that. He has had two or three of these and they are not expensive but last for years. When he worked construction, they took a beating sometimes. Waterproof was a must for him working outside. There are several different Armitrons currently available on Amazon and it lists all the features for each.

water proofing/resistance is also a plus

I saw one at the show today, the price was right (almost too good), but I hadn't heard of the brand before. I had a scope on my old 22a but I want something different.

There is no distance that can be accomplished with my arm that will allow clear vision. I gots old people eyes. But from across the room I can read an eye chart better than my kids! :dunno:
Lady at the BMV says to memorize it, hasn't changed in many many years. Never thought of that!
