    I don't want to eat it!!! I want it to die a slow torturous death!


    Shooting it is too quick. We had an evil one that I whacked with a 2x4. After he laid there for a half an hour, he jumped up and started running around. I couldn't get close enough to get another swing at him and hubby was scared when he saw me with a hatchet (I'm not allowed to play with sharp objects)...she he shot the sucker. We had him for dinner. He was tough but I told the kids to enjoy eating that b******!

    I was fixing pork chops, fried apples and mashed taters so missed this, but I could help. I have experience with whacking roosters that are evil and castrating other farm critters....that could be a handy skill to have in this situation.
