When you put hot iron on cold scrap steel it explodes! Sometimes in the winter and rainy days we have this problem. When it does happen I make sure everyone is ok and accounted for. And yup, everyone is fine!!

Man, I'm actually doing stuff at work today...I can't keep up in here.

Side note: jagee saves the day! There was a part in our lab stuck together and my superhuman strength was able to get it un-stuck

Basic Oxygen Furnace. BOF. We put scrap metal in first, then molten iron. When the scrap is wet and you put hot iron on it, well it will go boom! And since these furnaces will hold thousands of tons of steel, the boom is impressive!
