The weather this week sucks. I was supposed to go to northern Indiana this week, but cancelled the trip due to outside factors. Glad I am not driving in this mess.

When I drove to St Louis last Wednesday after the Blizzard, at least 2/3s of the vehicles in the ditch were 4wd.

Yup....pushing it to hard and thinking invincible.....until you have to lock it up.....oops.........

Well, yeah but I am talking about idiots turning corners or getting stuck at a light.

Yeah, those idiots drive all sorts of things. Little Honda Civics or whatever...idiots are EVERYWHERE

Not so. I just put new shoes on my truck and they are a very passive tread pattern. It is so obvious when it is in 2 WD. It gets around OK like that but 4WD is king right now.

Now get yourself out of a ditch or pull somebody out of one.

Yep, and I would bet many of those were soccer moms in their SUV's. Saw dozens of those in the ditch.

We pulled a bunch of folks out in the last storm. I think the total count ended up at 9 folks we pulled out. Truck just rolls through about anything until it gets deep enough to lift the frame on the skid plates. Even then proper driving technique has served us well.
Like Sam said....so many think that 4WD is the end all. It is not. One has to match driving to existing conditions no matter what.

Dang, Knox to Indy is a long drive.

He lives in Camby. He did have school today as I now recall the last call for MONEY was due to supplies he had to have for class this morning.

My oldest finished school last year, I know alllll about those calls.

My youngest has 2 more years of HS, then I start those calls all over again.

He drives a 1986 Crown Victoria AKA the Crown Jewel that weighs about 5,000 pounds and is great in snow...not so sure about ice though. He's a good driver, but mom's still worry.

I just had a message back from him. He's parked in the parking garage at Herron and will be there until about 4:30 so maybe this will be done by then and the roads cleared up before he has to drive home. He's alive!!! LOL! Daughter has the day off and is staying in her apartment today doing crafts or something.

I sent him a message asking how the roads were. He is good about answering texts and facebook messages. Snow seems to have slowed down quite a bit here.

I'm trying to figure out this new version of Outlook on my email...not sure I like it.

Back to work. You all have a safe day. I have a meeting with some big wigs this afternoon, one who is new. Trying to pitch the idea that we need new boats so I figured the best way was to show him the old ones. We are talking well over $200,000 in boats.
