@KJQ I wanted to head up to the range yesterday but the wife disappeared at 8 AM to go to a baby shower... I thought she was taking my son with her but I found out she didn't when I woke up at 9 AM to him screaming [baby monitor].

Was going to try and get up there after she got home but she didn't get home until 7 PM and I live about ~45 minutes away...

Life comes first! The range was busy anyway. If you want to try out a SBR sometime, let me know. Always ready to go shooting.

HA! I'd never have figured that out... I was looking for something far more elaborate.

That said - I'm hoping you're not 'pulling my leg' so to speak. :)

    5.56?

I'll buy some factory ammo - I reload .223 and 5.56 but I wouldn't be comfortable throwing my ammo in somebody else's gun - at least - not in one that can't quickly and easily be replaced.

The one in the avatar is 5.56 and always ready to go shoot.
I'll drop you a PM next time I'm able to make it up that way. I used to go to BGF once a week or so but haven't been able to go to any ranges since I moved - been too busy and it's a bit of a drive now... Previously it was about 5 minutes away.

Always glad to meet a fellow INGO'er.

I considered building a pink AR-15 for the wife for her birthday... She said she would have been happy to get it but would have also preferred that I spent the money on something else...

I'd totally shoot a pink AR-15 but I don't know that I'd paint mine pink.

Colors look good on the Internet, but when they're your guns..... Ehhhh. Pick your colors carefully.

Thanks Greg. I'll start a little gun talk and see if I can get us kicked out of the break room.

Haha... Mine is black - straight black. Everything except the light which is a dark green color... Considered having it re-coated or anodized black but figured it wasn't worth the time/effort.
