The only spouting I've done in Gander Mountain is to correct something that was obviously wrong - in that case I brought up the law and let the other patron read it for themselves rather than arguing with the guy behind the counter.

Basically the guy behind the counter was saying X was legal, Y was illegal. In reality both were 100% legal - showed the guy the IC, let him read it, told him to make his own informed decision and not necessarily to believe a guy just because he's in the gun section and if he had any real concerns he should look up Tactical Firearms Training and take the basic handgun law course if he wants an in-depth understanding of what is or is not legal.

My boss is my friend. I get upset when people hurt my friends. No I won't actually kick anyone's ass over it but I sure would like to!
Friendship between employee/employer is fine so long as both sides know when the personal relationship ends and the professional one begins. I.e. if I were your boss and you were my friend - if I fire you for poor performance - I would still be your friend as one shouldn't impact the other...

The sad part is - many can't keep them separate.

You're absolutely right, But this issue has nothing to do with work and is purely personal. I once had to fire my room mate. It sucked but he understood it was merely a business decision. His performance was terrible and I couldn't allow him to continue that way "just because we're friends". It's not acceptable

I didn't read back to be familiar with 'this issue' - was just chiming in with what came to mind.

Happy Holidays everybody. To get drunk tonight or not to get drunk... that is the question...

Did pick up a new bottle of Patrón and some Limes/Lemons...........
