Strange thing happened with the SR Friday. I shot a magazine, slide locked back, removed mag, inserted new mag. the slide did not close like it should have so I hit the slide release and it still wouldn't close. The mag release would work either. Racing by hand didn't help so I it up and dropped the PPQ in the snow. Picked it up and did a mag dump into the van. Came and inspected the SR. The first round was seated to high and wouldn't let the slide close. After some fiddling around I got it out. Tore it down and found a metal shaving in the mag release spring. Works good now.

Was the metal shaving lead??? Did a misfeed shave some off on something and it fell into the mag??

It was metal from the machining process.

How much snow did you all get?

We got about 6 inches I think.

We got very little, it rained all day. So much rain, it washed most of the snow away.

I am not surprised about 6" with all of the rain that we had. We would have gotten at least that if it had been snow.
