France just bought 2 of those Reaper drones this month and want to buy 10 more next year.

Looks like France also want to use those over Africa.
From what I understand they wont be allowed to fly above Europe until France can reprogram them.
But the US are not sure if they want to let them do that yet.

I see that they are sold "unarmed", I dont think they will stay unarmed for very long.

France has asked for the source codes (not sure if it's actually called like that) to program the drones to make sure that the US cant control the drones.
France might buy Israeli drones instead if the US refuse to give them the code.

The way I understand it they want the source codes to make sure that the US dont have a backdoor in the software.
Looks like the Isrealies are willing to give France the codes to make the sale in case the US refuse to give the codes.

No idea if they can just buy the hardware and reprogram all the software to make sure only France can control them.

Jack Daniels = whiskey. JD infused barbecue sauce is phenomenal. As long as there isn't too much whiskey in it. I absolutely hate the flavor if it's too strong. I'm definitely not a whiskey fan
