Actually I am. It brings us (wife/son and I) a lot of joy spending time with youngsters at the range getting them involved in a safe and educated manner. We have several .22's just for this purpose.
When I take the nieces and nephews out for their first shooting experience the smiles and fun make it all worth the effort and expense. Of course good old uncle churchmouse provides all the guns/ammo/safety gear.......Heck yeah.

It would take me a week of practice to hit steel at 25 yards.

those are the best. I do that with Liam now and then. Date night with Mom. We go to dinner or a movie, he is taking me. He chooses what he wants and I pay. Rarely do I like the movie, but I love the time with him
