I survived the blizzard of 78. We was able to get out once during a 10 day stretch. They had to open our road with big front end loaders

Had just bought a New exstended cab Dodge 4 x4 with a plow , But the damn thing didnt get delivered till 2 weeks later

Yup i survived the blizzard of 78 -- used the dog sled team to go to the market

We had horses. Me & my stepmom's brother rode our horses 3 miles each way to a small market when we ran out of diapers for my 6 month old brother.

There is a RR track just south of my Dad's place, we rode the RR tracks in. They were kept clear.

When i went to get it - i got mad cause it didnt have a cig lighter , i said WTF - the dealer said oh when you order a truck from the factory you have to say you want one But hey it had a nice pioneer AM / FM 8 track player

Ya the tracks up home were always clean - the engine had a great big V plow on it -- it was Awesome to watch it roll down the tracks

I wouldn't have ordered that, I would have thought that was standard then.

Yeah, they did that there too. The tracks by my Dads is a main line, had trainins running down it all of the time.

I used to be able to set a watch on the trains. 10:45 every night I would see/hear a westbound one. The westbound trains lights would shine through my bedroom window.

Yep, days gone by. I didn't have as much to worry about in 78, I was a Jr in High School.

When i go up home this summer ,i need to get some pictures of the big plows and wings they use up there , i know youve seen them Sam , and know what im talking about .
