The mock up oar I did I didn't like the way it turned out. The Kevlar had rough edges so I tried wrapping packing tape around the Kevlar after I laid it up. The end result was a very smooth finish with no rough edges. I wasn't sure if it would work or if I could get the tape off after it cured. Tape came off pretty easy. I'll post pictures tomorrow when I go in and remove the tape.

Yeah, at $400 a pop, that extra work makes sense.

I hope it works. We are running out of options.
