How did deportation work? Were you in a cell? Did you get to choose your return flight?

I was in a cell while waiting to be interviewed.
They cancelled all my next flights within the US (flight to Indy and return flights) and exchanged it for a one way flight to Paris.
Of course the airline didn't refound any of those flights so it made me lose quite a bit of money.
I didn't get to choose anything. They actually put me on the first flight to London where I had to stay for hours. No British currency with me of course as I didn't plan to go there.
I was escorted to the boarding gate by two ICE officers and my passport was only returned to my by the captain of the plane once I landed in London.
The officers told the captain I was not allowed to leave the plane if they had to make an emergency landing within the US.

Good thing we didn't make an emergency landing.Since I was not allowed to touch US soil the only legal thing to do would have been to burn inside the plane. :faint:

Slyvain is officially a bad-ass international criminal in my book. :yesway:

I felt like one (so did the poor old Romanian lady who couldn't understand why she was being deported). :woot:
Especially after one of the officer wanted to look at my watch to make sure it wasn't "some kind of James Bond ****".Another even asked me if I practiced Karate. :):
They must have been scared. :dunno:

I didn't have to go through the TSA since I was escorted rigth to the boarding gate so I ended up with stuff who were originally in my checked bags with me in my carry on.Way to **** off someone and give him access to weapons.

    Goodnight!

I once boarded a flight to the Bahamas with a Leatherman in my carry-on by accident. The TSA didn't catch it.

On another trip I used my range bag as a carry-on. It must have had a lot of gun powder residue on it, because it took a lot of extra screening to get past the TSA.

Are you saying the TSA is useless???

I hate flying. What is security like at French airports?

I'm sure this thread is attracting NSA attention.

There's no full body scanner. The security guys are employed by the airport so it's not a big governmental organization like the TSA.
A few years ago two French journalists managed to take two handguns and a hand grenade into a flight going to NYC.
They removed them right before the flight took off but they filmed everything.
They told authorities in both France and the US after that but no politician wanted to deal with this obvious problem so nothing changed since then.
