That would never fly with me. Either get off your butt and do something or sit on it at home. Don't come expect to get paid for doing nothing

I agree totally. I try to enforce the "right" behavior on my shifts (cashier at the cash register, floor associates actually on the floor) but none of the other managers actually seem to want to. So we end up with unhappy customers and unhappy comments on our survey's that Franklin-Covey does for us

I can only hope that my kids (eventually) have the relationship with me that I have with my mother. She's my best friend. She was "awful and stupid" when I was a kid, but now that I'm grown with the family of my own we're super close

I don't want the relationship my mom and I have with my son either lol...she tried to mommy me at our wedding...

I understand that all too well. Some of the other managers I work with don't seem to want to do anything. However I did have a nice little "meeting" with my GM after work last night and we did discuss a few things regarding that....before we got drunk. That part I DO remember.

And a gunshot in my neighborhood......wow. That's very odd. Second time in the last couple weeks, too...

Oh...well....wow. Um...I don't know what to say to that. I guess I just kinda feel like your chromosomes determine which bathroom you should use :dunno:

I completely agree. No amount of surgery or makeup will change anything as far as I'm concerned. I'm just glad I don't spend much time in the building so I don't have to deal with it.

We had to make one of our restrooms a unisex at work because we have a person there who can't decide what sex they want to be. :puke:

They should've just picked whichever bathroom matched the sex they were identifying with that day

Oh not in Broad Ripple. I had someone from a store in Hamilton County pull a shift at my store yesterday. He was telling stories about customers (I was rolling, I admit it) because, as he put it, you can see the freaks coming down there...

I actually kind of feel sorry for those people. I mean, I know that I'm kind of like a dude with boobs and I'm not girly in any way, but I don't actually want to BE a man. I'm happy with the plumbing that I've been given and getting my tubes tied was about as much renovating as I want to do.

I'm hoping things will turn around. GM got called out by the DM about why our survey results suck...goal is 73%, we finished this last month at 48%.... the customer comments were usually "we can't find any help" so he had to admit that to the DM and he mentioned it today when he came in to close the store...nothing I didn't already know

Well if you would hold still like I said, I wouldn't have missed!

Haha...now there's a chopper in the air. Could be a coincidence. I don't know. Either way, I'm glad I'm armed. There's really no crime in this neighborhood. It's pretty quiet. Well except for the psycho several years ago. But in any case, I'd like very much for it to stay how it has been since we moved in.

Oh, no no no no. IF....big HUGE if....my other half ever decides to marry me, I can promise you that no one will mommy me. You don't mess with a woman's wedding day.

Right?! I planned it all out, I had it the way I wanted, I was stressed out enough as it was and she was wanting to be mommy..she said as much. NO! lol...I was Bridezilla for 36 hours. I admit it...I think part of what it is is I feel like I'm mentally older then she is

If we ever do take the plunge it won't be anything fancy. I've already been married and divorced twice. I don't need a big fancy wedding, nor do I want one. But whatever I do have will be up to ME (and I guess him :D)

Same here (except the tubes part)...that's what my husband likes about me. I'll gladly go fishing or shooting with him. I don't mind going to GM to look at holsters...I paint my nails and like pink but that's about it.

I really don't even like pink. But my man likes me the way I am. If my car breaks, he doesn't have to fix it. If some dirty work needs done, I have no problem doing it. If I want to go shoot, he doesn't have to go with me and hold my hand (although he probably would!)

what guy wouldn't say that?

Well, I can think of a few

I'd been married and divorced (that was the very definition of nothing special for the wedding. Judge at the courthouse and the bride wore jeans). This time was much better. It wasn't really big or fancy. I bought a dress online, my best friend's dad happens to be a minister and she knew of a church we could rent for the service/reception for a fraction of renting almost anything else, esp on a Saturday. I made the food for the reception myself and my best friend/maid of honor made the wedding cake as a present. I just wanted to marry him lol but it was important to him to get married in a church (this is his first marriage) so it was important to me to do that at least :D but you're right. It's YOUR day, so it YOUR way.

I know what you mean. My ex always tried to change me, make me more what he wanted which basically equaled any girl in any porno movie :n00b:

I can too now that I think about it lol

If I know him it's going to be one of those things where we're just sitting on the couch watching Netflix and he'll say "hey we should go get married". At which point we'd end up going downtown and visiting the justice

That's just the kind of relaxed we are. We just go with the flow
