Going on vacation next month and was trying to figure out what to take. Spending a few days in Seattle and then driving back cross country. Was trying to figure out what to carry for the trip.

I have a Taurus 85 2 1/2", but a 642 would prob be better.

I think when we go to Seattle, I will just FedEx a box to myself to get my EDC out there. Don't really want to mess with the whole gun in the checked bag routine.

I've heard of a few people doing the checked bag with no issues. Get 2 gun locks. Put one on the gun through the barrel, and another through the gun case. And its usually zero issues.

Yeah, but I don't think we will be doing a checked bag. The wife and I can both have a carry-on. I think American Airlines charges $35 for checked bag.
