Na, she's got some life left in her

This is the reason I always try to talk people out of laptops that just think they want them. Desktops are the better investment by far. Mine is about 8 - 10 years old too and still rocking pretty good. It runs all the latest and greatest still too.

Although, I do plan to build a new one in the spring.

I got one older than that and it still runs good. Hubby built it for me back 12 years ago. He's a good hubby.

I think it is 4 months as of this week. it was the july 1500 he got them.

Seems like I have to buy the wife a new one every 4 years or so. I do all of the maintenance and run a McAffee Clean Sweep monthly to clean it up, but it seems like after 4-5 years they always start to have problems.

It's a Dell! I've always had good luck with them!! We have five Dells right now and two of them are 10 years old and still work great today! Mine has took a couple of hits from dip sticks that turn lose the virus's on us!! Hell won't be hot enough for people like that!!

Part of the problem is that the wife puts on her make-up in front of the computer. When I opened up the case last year to replace the fan, it was full of that mineral stuff that she uses for makeup. And dog hair, and cat hair, and dust, etc.

And It is my own fault I wasn't running any anti Virus software! But V8 got me set up that they are protected now!!
