    They come in a huge box compared to a US ones but they have more calories in them and are good for one day.
    They come with a little stove, two meals, chocolate and cookies, beverages and more.

    Are MREs truly MREs? Can you just open them and eat them?

    I know that for the French ones you can either eat them cold or use the stove to cook them.They taste better hot of course but some units forbids you to cook them (special ops and such) because the enemy can spot you with the delicious smell of the French dishes. :D

    Thats weird. I bought mine just as individual components. Not a big box. Like I have some beef stroganoff, crackers, peanut butter, jam, coffee, energy drink,tootsie roll ect
