Had a 94 Cherokee.
It went 185,000+ miles before the body rusted out.
Had a Liberty. Liked it but....
Traded it for a Grand Cherokee.
Wife drives a Patriot.
Thought about a Rubicon but on the highway they steer like a bathtub half full of jello..

im currently rolling with my discovery 2 at 180k miles. no power steering, and a HECK of a lifter tick.

the classics are one of the best built. they actually holdup the name of jeep. im hearing bad things about the new rubicon drivetrains, but my wheeling buddies are ROUGH on their toys.

The Rovers are tough.
But like you said earlier, expensive to maintain.
