unloaded, this includes the mags, in a locked box/case preferably not in the passenger compartment with ammo in a separate case. Don't touch at any point in those states and you should be good to go. IANAL so verify before you trust some guy on the internet.

depends if you shoot tapered hauled shells if you want to that would be great. If you shoot straight walled shells no as I don't reload them. (do you have any idea what I am talking about?)
