It'll get your foot in the door, and a lot of small towns Dept's couldn't get by without their reserves. I never understood the full timers that looked down on the reserves, but those same officers seemed to have a chip on their shoulders about life in general.

That would be the other reason I'll do it I have applied with bigger Dept's. and made it thought the hiring process and not hired. Is it not more noble to trample others rights for free accepting payment would be too much.
