yep got the call on my cell about 4pm or so. 8 weeks of summer break and at least 3 days to make up. They said they can't get the sidewalks and parking lots safe enough to bring the kids in so the custodians and staff will continue to work all weekend to get our kids back in school safely on Monday.

We had the neighbors over to play Scrabble, Euchre, and Poker on Tuesday night. It was actually quite fun.

I gave up on my own little sidewalk and driveway. I don't have any idea how all those school sidewalks and lots are gonna get cleared. I don't think there's enough salt in the ocean for all that ice.

I went out after the sun had been shining on it and then hit it with a metal rake. The real heavy kind, like a garden rake, not a leaf rake.
