    What's the project?

They make things to sell for charity's. Craft shows at church's and the like.
I might post up some pics later. They are very good at what they do. I drill holes in stuff for them. Empty wine bottles become incense burners and such. I drill holes in the bottles so the draft when the incense is lit.

So last night, frantically trying to fix a joystick that controls a shroud (a 6 ft long, 1 ft wide straw that steel goes thru), I try to adjust the "zero" resting spot.
I break the friggin set screw.
Using pliers to try to get the screw out, I end up stripping the plastic gears.
    Argh!

Go to the parts shelf for a joystick, find one labeled... found in boss's office, needs to be checked.

    Checked?????
    It's missing
    Limit switch
    Gears
    Cams

    What the hell?
    What is there to check?
The only use I got out of it, was the NEW joysticks we got are not right.

So the midnight guy just got in, showed me how to reverse the cam on the new joystick, solder jumpers, and use the plug from the OLD joystick.

I'm sick and tired of "making do" with parts.

The pendant for these 3 joysticks, 2 switches, and indicator light is a stainless steel box, everything weighs 25 pounds or so.
Add in the cable as thick as my wrist, about 25 more pounds.

And, I broke my test leads. :(
    That's $50 outta my pocket.
At least, that's what the last set costs. Now I guess I'll find what they costs now, since I need a spare set.
