The attacker died when his car caught on fire.
The same cops that he tried to kill where on the scene with fire extinguishers and tried to rescue him from the burning vehicle.

Not sure what his plan was.

One guy alone attacked 8 heavily armed gendarmes by crashing into their van.
The attacker's car caught on fire before he could use his weapons.

Yes a few streets and subway stations closed I think.

They said a gas canister was found in the car, with possibly some explosives.
The car was on fire earlier.

The driver was reported dead but I'm not sure what killed him.
Nobody else killed or injured.
