    Precisely. That gets expensive, and still may not fix the problem.

    I had a similar problem with the wifes minivan. Did the crank and cam sensor, then bought a refurbished computer. It still occasionally would start, run 5-10 seconds and then die. If you went back an hour later it started fine. My mechanic of 15 years was stumped too.

    Did some research of the Dodge forum and found an oddball explanation. Guy had the same problem and discovered a bad solder on the backside of the instrument panel, the back side of the speedometer. I pulled the instrument panel and sure enough, there was a crack where it was described. I put a new solder on the crack and the van has run fine since then.
