    He should be fine.From what I read they don't always check how long people stayed in the Schengen area when they leave it.
    Depends on the country and if they are overezalous or not.


    That's how he was reading it too. He said that he would be more likely to get in trouble if he got caught being there too long with no intention of leaving. Since he is already on his way out, he didn't anticipate any problems and is hoping for no fines. He has been fighting a cold/flu bug too so he said he could explain that he was not feeling well enough to travel. He said Krakow was really polluted and everybody wore face masks, etc. He has asthma so I think that caused some issues for him.
