Wifey and I decided that we are going to save a little from each coming paycheck and try to do a 2 week roadtrip in Aug. Drive from here to Seattle via the northern route (I90), then go to Portland, OR and come home the southern route via I70....

We love long roadtrips...

We will stop several times and go hiking between here and there. Some beautiful country in Montana and Idaho...Then since she is from Seattle, the wife knows all the good hiking in western Washington.

I should get an AZ permit between now and then......Freaking Washington doesn't recognise our Indiana LTCH...

I still may or may not have carried in past trips out there. There are things that can kill you in the Washington woods & wilderness. Both 2 and 4 legged predators..

Last time we went was 2012 or 2013. We flew out and drove a rental back over 7 days...We had a blast.

Wife's Son still lives in Seattle, she wants to go see him...

Mary was a perfect match for me...We both get cabin fever and need to take roadtrips often...

We have to do it before Aug 18th, that is when daughter leaves for school. She can take care of the fuzzies while we are gone.
I have enough points in the bank for 8 or 9 free hotel nights, so that helps alot.
