Back in early 80s, never kept it. Only issue people had with them was aftermarket mags and that went for the SA guns as well.

They have a selector assembly which a lot of guys damaged. Don't remember the particulars, if you assemble wrong and function check it some of the springs break.

They tried to do a number on my mailbox last week, but my mailbox survived!! A few taps with the sledge hammer and it was right back to where it was before it got whacked by the blade.

there are a lot of mailboxes down here.

The mags have kept me from doing it. I almost bought one a few years ago, but I bought several SBRs instead. I probably should have done it, they ain't getting any cheaper.

It's generally a 3 position selector, and a separate safety. Never been inside one.

That's pretty awesome. I had a friend in Michigan back in the day, he was a State Trooper, he had one. Last time I shot one was in the late 90s. Can't beat a full auto mini 14.
