As we have owed every year since I can remember we do ours at the very last possible moment often using the defer option to extend the date.

Well......at least you get the boost.
We keep things to the very edge. I refuse to let them run on my funds.
We owe the state every year as they truly suck raw eggs. Feds are not that bad if you do it correctly.
