The 38-40 doesn't have a peep sight, found that the groups improve when I wear my glasses. Using a 180 grain bullet made for .40 and 10mm.

I bought lots of coffee beans. They don't usually have those, but they had TONS today. I don't think we will run out anytime soon.

I bought a few fun things too. I found a nice kneeling pad for working in my flowers that I had to buy.

Paper targets, a cross on cardboard. At lowest elevation on the rear sight the 38-40 was spot on at 60 yards. Middle notch was good at 100 yards but I really need to get a good Marbles tang sight for it. Not bad for a rifle over 100 years old using bullets made from scrap.
